AnswerShare Brand Briefing

It's All About Trust.

Client perspective In their words

> “Wow… just WOW! ”

> Kurtis BartonExecutive Vice President, V Digital Services (now an AnswerShare reseller partner)

> “AnswerShare has cracked the code on one of the most complex parts of GEO.”

> Andrea AkerCEO, Aker Ink (now an AnswerShare reseller partner)

> “Our site is now a leader in generative engine optimization. ”

> Stephen HeitzChief Innovation Officer, LAVIDGE (now an AnswerShare reseller partner)

These are unprompted comments from each company’s evaluation of AnswerShare on its own website, before it became an AnswerShare reseller partner.

It's simple: AI has an opinion of your brand. The more it trusts your brand, the more likely you are to be cited and recommended.

We help AI trust you.

Evidence note [1–3]

AI “trust” means source credibility, entity authority, and corroboration—not human emotion. The evidence is empirical but not definitive: large-scale industry studies associate these signals with citation and recommendation, while peer-reviewed research shows verifiable evidence improves generative visibility.

The new decision layer

B2B buyers now bring AI into their research before they meet a seller.

Before a buyer meets your team, an answer engine may frame the problem, define the criteria and recommend the shortlist.

51%

of B2B buyers start their research with an AI chatbot more often than Google (G2, 2026; wave February 2026; 1,076 B2B decision makers)

94%

of B2B buyers use LLMs in their buying process (6sense, November 12, 2025; nearly 4,000 B2B buyers)

The point of first contact with a seller moved from about 69% to 61% of the buying journey, same 6sense series. 6sense, 2025 B2B Buyer Experience Report

AI traffic is worth more

Verification behaviour — BrightLocal Local Consumer Review Survey, March 10, 2026: 64% of AI users trust AI recommendations as much as online reviews for local business recommendations, and 97% of AI users sometimes double-check AI recommendations against real reviews (BrightLocal, March 10, 2026).

AI reputation management

Visibility? Yeah, we do that.

The hard part: making sure AI knows your WHOLE story before it forms an opinion.

  • Your history and scale.
  • Your reviews and results.
  • The concerns—and your response.

Not just found. Fully understood.

Dated customer records

  • V Digital Services. Baseline 2026-06-17: five engines, two buyer-intent prompts, V Digital Services omitted from 9 of 10 answers (archived receipts, answer hashes recorded). Follow-up audit 2026-07-16, on a different prompt: Perplexity #1, Grok #1, ChatGPT #2.
  • LAVIDGE. One prompt, five engines, observed 2026-06-05: Perplexity #1, Grok #2, Gemini #3, Claude #4, ChatGPT surfaced without a published rank (signed summary published 2026-08-17).

The full records, with their dates and sources, are in the Customer observations section of the Proposal tab.

An illustrative model of lift

What would this mean to your revenue growth?

Source of Truth

Every declared AI crawler is routed to the machine layer (24 distinct declared AI crawlers seen in the last 30 days, as of October 7, 2026). Whether an assistant uses that content in an answer is measured separately. Every declared search crawler, including Googlebot, Bingbot and others, receives the human website, because search engines require their crawlers to see what people see. People also receive the current website.

Which workstream moves which engine: the AnswerShare machine layer is what every declared AI crawler receives; Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Gemini draw on Google's own search index and crawl, which read your human website, so they are evaluated as search-index-fed surfaces. Reports name the product, model, search or grounding settings and retained sources for each engine, and no gain is attributed to the machine layer without supporting evidence.

What Makes AI Listen?

The standard. The result. The execution.

The standard

GSE

Gold Standard Exemplar

Gold Standard Exemplar (GSE) is AnswerShare’s name for an authoritative, machine-optimized representation of your brand’s verified facts. It gives AI systems a structured, source-grounded record to retrieve and verify, and we publish the measurement methodology and dated receipts so you can check our work yourself. Brands whose facts AI can understand completely and verify readily are better positioned to be cited accurately.

AnswerShare’s own representation and measurement framework — not an AI-provider standard or endorsement.

The results you need.

The execution

Performance is measured through:

Signed Receipts Cryptographically signed proof of AI optimization and delivery. AI Impressions Self-identified AI-crawler requests, counted by agent and role. A request is not a citation. AI Engagements AI-generated mentions, recommendations, or citations.

    1. ChatGPT

  3. Target Audience: five groups of people, from one person to a large crowd, each with a line from the AnswerShare mark.

Four ways the market approaches GEO

Some approaches measure, some repackage, and some change what AI engines read.

Generative engine optimization (GEO) is sold in four broad forms. Here is what each does, and how each is typically bought.

Comparison of four GEO approaches: what each does, whether it changes what AI engines retrieve, whether it measures AI visibility, and how it is typically bought.

Some approaches measure, some repackage, and some change what AI engines read.

Measurement Software that tracks AI visibilityRuns prompts across AI engines and reports scores and trends. It identifies gaps; changing what engines read is left to the customer’s other work. No, it reports onlyYesTypically a software subscription; published plans often pair self-serve tiers with enterprise plans quoted by sales.
Markdown Tools that publish markdown copies of pagesRe-serve existing page content in markdown for AI crawlers. The format changes; the claims and sourcing remain those of the original page. In AnswerShare’s August 2026 study, frontier AI crawlers asked for Markdown zero times in 1,277,965 requests, so a Markdown copy served only on request is rarely seen by them. A one-time conversion.Kept current as your site changes, with ratings refreshed monthly.
No measurement.Measures visibility, citation and sentiment across five AI engines, before and after.

SEO helps you enter the candidate pool; GEO work focuses on whether engines can retrieve, parse and cite you.

Category-level descriptions, not a review of any named provider; individual products vary and some combine approaches. The how-it-is-bought column reflects providers’ public plan pages as reviewed on 2026-09-29 and is not a quote; most providers do not publish prices, so this slide makes no dollar or ranking comparison. No approach can guarantee a particular AI answer or citation.

Our value add is to develop your brand as a “gold standard”

We align what matters to fully inform the machine's opinion with your entire brand story.

Answers may draw on model training, retrieved sources and the question asked, and they differ by product, settings and time. The pilot measures the answers actually given rather than assuming one fixed machine opinion. These are the dials we turn.

1

AI Visibility

Scientific score plus prompt ranking across engines.

2

Grounding

Claims sourced and grounded against verifiable, primary references.

3

AI Sentiment

Machine expressed reputation; AI Modeled NPS versus Corpus, yielding the gap diagnostic.

4

Query Fan-out (QFS)

How often the brand still appears when an engine splits one question into several sub-queries.

5

Speed Score

Fast delivery of the machine layer, so a crawler’s request is answered quickly.

ETHICS & TRANSPARENCY

Q. Is this cloaking?

A. DIFFERENT FORMATTING IS NOT, BY ITSELF, DECEPTIVE CLOAKING.Google's own definition of cloaking:

> “Cloaking refers to the practice of presenting different content to users and search engines with the intent to manipulate search rankings and mislead users.”

> — Google Search Central

Googlebot and Bingbot receive the human site. AI crawlers receive a machine layer derived from the same facts, restated for AI readers.

Parity commitment: every material fact in the AI layer is also on your own website, with one labelled exception: dated third-party review ratings, each shown with its platform, date and scope, which a website often does not carry and which you can have removed. Any other fact the website does not carry is either added to your website with your approval or removed before it is served; we check that before cutover and again after every change.
